How to get our badges and what are they?

On our software and tools review platform, we regularly provide our users with helpful information and genuine reviews from a wide range of categories. To give you an even better overview of the top tools on the software market, we award OMR Reviews Badges every quarter. The distribution of badges is based on user reviews on our platform.
Why do we hand out awards? Our badges are comparable to quality seals and show that users have already become familiar with and tested the product.
Our goal is to build trust, guide our users, and convey credibility. But here's the thing: not every tool automatically qualifies for badges. A software only receives an award under certain conditions. Plus, badges that have already been awarded are regularly checked to make sure they're still current.
Currently there are five different badge categories:
- Leader: recognizes the top tool in a category. The award is based on quantity, meaning the number of reviews, and the rating, or the average score of the reviews.
- Top Rated: awarded to all tools that have received at least ten reviews in the last three months with an average NPS of at least eight.
- Watchlist: tools that are new to the platform, newly discovered by us, or particularly popular in the community are honored with this badge.
- Used by OMR: all tools that we use at OMR ourselves receive this badge. It's basically a sign that the tool is part of our own tech stack and we're thrilled to use it.
- Top 100: in the future, our popular annual Top 100 ranking (the most popular tools in Germany) will have its own badge. Stay tuned and keep your eyes open!
