How can we earn your badges, and what types are available?

On our platform for reviewing software and tools, we regularly provide our users with helpful information and genuine reviews across a wide range of categories. To give you an even better overview of the top tools on the software market, we award OMR Reviews badges every quarter. The badges are awarded based on reviews from users on our platform.

Why do we award badges? You can think of our badges as a seal of approval. They show that users have already gotten to know and tried the product.

Our goal is to build trust, guide our users, and establish credibility. But not every tool automatically qualifies for a badge. Software must meet certain requirements to receive an award. We also regularly check that awarded badges are still up to date.

There are currently five different badge categories:

• Leader: awarded to the top tool in a category. The award is based on both the quantity of reviews and their rating, meaning the average review score.
• Top Rated: awarded to all tools that have received at least ten reviews in the past three months, with an average NPS of at least eight.
• Watchlist: awarded to tools that are new to the platform, have recently been discovered by us, or are especially popular with the community.
• Used by OMR: awarded to all tools that we use at OMR. The badge shows that the tool is part of our own tech stack and that we’re big fans of it.
• Top 100: In the future, there’ll be a dedicated badge for our popular annual Top 100 ranking of Germany’s most popular tools. Stay tuned and keep an eye out!
